My name is Didié (pronounced D.D.A) Hamel-Jolette. Originally from Quebec, I discovered Revelstoke in 2020 and instantly fell in love with its small-town mountain vibe. Captivated by the endless outdoor opportunities, I decided to make it my home, where I indulge in rock climbing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and exploring new adventures.
When I was younger, chronic injuries pulled me away from my activities, sparking my interest in Athletic Therapy. In 2016, a major climbing accident resulted in a traumatic brain injury, fractured vertebraes, and an avulsed glute muscle. This experience gave me firsthand insight into the arduous recovery process and the psychological challenges that come with it. I am committed to making a difference in your journey.
I graduated from Concordia University in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and became certified as an Athletic Therapist. In 2022, I furthered my expertise by completing a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice, enhancing my skills in manual therapy. Currently, I am pursuing studies in Applied Neurology, a field I believe holds the key to future advancements in therapy and human performance.
As a highly qualified and experienced practitioner, I integrate unique skills in manual therapy, applied neurology, and diverse exercise prescription strategies. I address injury concerns, alleviate chronic pain, manage persistent concussion symptoms, and enhance overall resilience for my clients. I’m dedicated to inspiring and guiding you toward transformative health and performance gains, preparing you for your next adventure or sports event.
Affectionately known as "The Pain Wizard," I’m often called upon to collaborate on solving challenging issues that others haven’t been able to resolve.
Over the past 13 years, I have dedicated myself to treating, rehabilitating, and training a diverse clientele, including professional athletes, Olympians, college athletes, recreational outdoor enthusiasts, ski guides, workers, and individuals of all ages.
From 2017 to 2020, I had the privilege of working with athletes at the Canadian Sport Institute in Victoria as an Athletic Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach. From 2022 to 2024, I supported the athletes of the National Triathlon Team, culminating in the Olympic cycle at the Paris Olympic Games. Since 2020, I have proudly served the vibrant community of Revelstoke.
