Feeling dizzy, off-balance, visually overwhelmed, or uncomfortable with movement?
Your vestibular system may be part of the picture.

Vestibular problems don't always feel like the room is spinning. Sometimes they show up in less obvious ways.
You may notice:
If movement or busy environments make you feel “off,” your vestibular system may be worth assessing.

Your vestibular system is located in the inner ear and helps your brain understand where your head is, how it's moving, and how to keep you balanced and visually stable.
It works together with your eyes, neck, joints, and feet to help you understand where you are in space.
The goal is to understand which systems may be contributing to your symptoms so your rehabilitation can be more specific to you.

Depending on what we find, rehabilitation may include balance and gait exercises, eye-head coordination, visual and vestibular drills, neck work, manual therapy, and gradual exposure to movements that provoke your symptoms.
The goal is to gradually rebuild your ability to tolerate movement with more confidence.
For many people in Revelstoke, balance isn't just about standing on one leg.
It's about being able to ski through variable terrain, ride a bike, climb, trail run, drive mountain roads, and move through your environment without feeling dizzy or disoriented.
Rehabilitation can progress toward the activities and environments that matter most to you.
